We're a Not For Profit Organisation
We work with community justice organisations and campaigners. We're funded by grants like the National Lottery Community Fund to do work like facilitating the UK's COVID19 Mutual Aid network with digital tooling advice, training grassroots unions like the LRU and IWGB on how to manage membership data pipelines, and the organisation Community Organisers with their community management infrastructure.
Common Knowledge Co-op is incorporated in the UK as a 'private company limited by guarantee without share capital'. Its articles of incorporation dictate that any surplus generated must be reinvested into its social mission, and in the event of dissolution any remaining assets must be transferred to another not for profit co-operative. The co-op cannot be bought or sold.
