Invoicing clients

It's the job of individual project stewards to generate invoices for projects. This is done on a monthly basis; invoices are created using timesheets in Productive.io and pushed via an integration to be generated in Xero; invoices are sent to the clients and subsequently tracked in Xero.

VAT

UK Clients

VAT is charged at 20% for all consultancy work charged to UK-based clients.

EU- and USA-based Clients

VAT is charged at 0%, and the correct Tax Rate code in Xero is "Zero Rated Income".

Chasing Clients

It's the job of the Finance Steward to keep track of unpaid invoices and send reminders to late-paying clients. Use the finance@commonknowledge.coop email.
